National Bunraku Theater
	<-( K) Osaka City	Bunraku,a popular form of entertainment, using almost life-sized puppets, originated and developed in Osaka, and is typical of the tradetional culture of the Kyoto-Osaka area. Many of the plays in the bunraku repertoire were written by the famous playwright Chikamatsu Monzaemon. The National Bunraku Theater is a fully-equipped modern building specially designed to do justice to bunraku performances.
