Azuchi-Momoyama Period
| This festival is held at Jusan Shrine around October 20 each year.
A ceremony before the altar is held in the morning and a procession in the afternoon.
The procession is led by people disguised as oni (ogres) and tengu (long-nosed creatures of Japanese folklore) wearing hats made in the shape of five towers. Together with shishimai (a dance with a lion's mask), the parade proceeds dancing in accordance with a time-honored rite.
